2020 SICIM Annual Partners Virtual Meeting
Thursday, June 25th, from 8:30 AM to noon EST
Southern Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management (SICIM) will host our Annual Meeting virtually this year in light of COVID-19. Though we regret that our meeting could not be held in person, being able to offer this as an online event makes it available to a wider audience that might not be able to attend otherwise.
Among the speakers is John Goss, former director of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and “Carp Czar” for the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, who will speak on how to be optimistic and find opportunities in every crisis. Also speaking is Kim Ordonez, a student in Dr. Zhao Ma’s lab at Purdue School of Forestry and Natural Resources, who will present research on psychological and geographical factors involved with invasive plant management in our state. During the meeting, we will also share the accomplishments of the Indiana Invasive Initiative and provide updates on a range of invasive plant issues.
The virtual meeting will be hosted via Zoom. Registration can be found at the Eventbrite link below. You can download a PDF version of the Annual Meeting flyer to print and/or share.
